SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL REVIEWED INTERNET JOURNAL
Family Psychology and Psychotherapy
The newest issue #3 for 2022
The journal Family Psychology and Psychotherapy was established by the Society of Family Counselors and Therapists in 2017 and continuously publishes peer-reviewed researches, techniques and cases for assessing and treating couples and families.
The journal has 4 issues per year and provides full open access to articles both in Russian and English language.
Aims and Scope
We see our goal in providing the opportunity for exchanging knowledge about the functioning of different types of families. Our journal is unique: in addition to scientific research about families, we publish practical cases of therapy and counseling of families, couples, children and parents, as well as research dedicated to therapy itself. This research focuses on such topics as evaluation of therapy effectiveness, analysis of psychotherapeutic interaction, and the ethical issues of family psychotherapy.
Readership includes students and postgraduates, psychologists and psychiatrists, marriage and family therapists, social workers,
education professionals, sociologists, culturologists, specialists in neurophysiology.
It is very important for us to foster collaboration between researchers and practicing psychologists and promote the scientific validity of psychological practice. We hope that this journal will allow assisting specialists, researchers, students, and all interested individuals to be aware of the latest research on families and the most pressing issues of psychological practice in the field of family psychotherapy.

Journal Goals
Our main interests and goals
  • Research
The editors of this journal share the principles of the Helsinki Declaration, the "ethical principles for medical research involving human subjects". We publish research on family psychology and the specifics of family functioning in the broadest sense, as well as, in particular, in relation to its wider societal context and depending on its structure and composition, or in its times of stress or illness. New methods and diagnostic instruments for studying family are also very important for the journal.
    1
  • Practical Analysis
Analysis of cases of psychological support for families and examination of its efficacy is extremely important for advanced training and professional support for caregivers and specialists. Such publications are one of the journal's main goals.
    2
  • Translations of Foreign Articles
This is why we publish reviews and annotations of articles from the EFTA journal. Of course, we do not have translations of articles by our foreign colleagues in each of our issues. The Association of Family Counselors and Therapists cooperates extensively with the European Family Therapy Association (EFTA), which is why we publish reviews and annotations of articles from the EFTA journal, Human Systems
    3
  • Not only about family
Matters of professional ethics and development of associated disciplines such as social anthropology, cultural studies, and sociobiology are all very interesting for our journal, and we routinely publish materials from these fields.
